Glanllyn Terms & Conditions 

 

Bookings & Payments

  • A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
  • Full payment is due 2 weeks before arrival. If booking within 2 weeks of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • For certain dates, full payment may be required upon booking (Bank Holidays)
  • Minimum stays apply:

* Bank Holidays: 3 nights

*Most summer holiday weekends: 2 nights

  • All payments are non-refundable, except when the campsite must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Bookings cannot be rolled over into the following year.
  • You are strongly recommended to take out travel insurance in case you need to cancel your booking.
  • If you choose not to take out travel insurance, you accept full responsibility for any loss incurred due to cancellation.
  • Booking amendments incur a £10 administration fee.

Change of Date (Amendments)

  • Date changes are subject to availability.
  • We require 21 days’ notice prior to the arrival date.
  • A £10 administration fee applies.
  • Only one date change is permitted, and the new dates must be within the same calendar year as the original booking.

Arrival & Departure

  • Check-in is from 1pm to 8pm. Late arrivals are accepted by prior arrangement only. 
  • Please call us on arrival if reception is closed – reduced opening hours during low season.
  • No refunds or discounts are given for bad weather, late arrival, or early departure.
  • Arrivals must park and report to reception to obtain passes.
  • Pitches must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Late check-out may be possible for a fee, subject to availability.( Not possible on some days)

Day Visitors

  • Day visitors are accepted only by prior arrangement.
  • Arrival and departure times for day visitors are between 10am and 6pm.
  • Visitors must check in at reception, park in designated areas, and pay the daily rate.
  • No day visitors are permitted on Bank Holidays or busy weekends: We allow a limited number of people on the site at any one time, as this ensures all the facilities and parking spaces are readily available for all our customers.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your visitors follow all campsite Terms & Conditions.

Dogs

  • Well-behaved dogs are permitted (maximum 2 per pitch).
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in any unit, awning, or on the pitch.
  • No dogs (except guide dogs) may enter the toilets, washing-up area, shop, shower block or children’s playground.

*Dog parking bays are provided outside these buildings.

  • Fouling must be cleaned up immediately and disposed of correctly.
  • Dangerous breeds are not accepted.
  • Dogs may be off lead at the lake edge while entering the water but must be put back on the lead as soon as they exit the lake.
  • There is a dog exercising area by main entrance.

 

Vehicles & Pitching Arrangements

  • Commercial vans permitted only with prior approval.
  • Observe the one-way system and 5mph speed limit.
  • Avoid driving on grass except when parking beside your pitch.
  • Only one car per pitch during Bank Holidays, busy weekends, and wet ground conditions.
  • Units requiring electric hook-up and units not requiring electric hook-up will not be pitched together.
  • Electric vehicles must not be charged from hook-up points; use the designated charger near reception.
  • All extra cars to be parked by reception.
  • Allocation of pitches is on arrival where the spaces are that day. 
  • A minimum 15-meter electrical lead is required if booked an electrical pitch.

Fires, Barbecues & Smoke Control

  • Open ground fires are not permitted.
  • Raised barbecues and fire pits are allowed but must be extinguished by 10:30pm.
  • Ashes must be cooled fully before disposal in the metal bins. (located outside the bin compound) 
  • Disposable barbecues must be raised off the ground on a stand.
  • Please ensure that smoke and fumes do not disturb other campers.

Waste Disposal

  • Littering is strictly prohibited.
  • All refuse must be disposed of in the designated bins:

*General waste (red labels): black bags only

*Recycling: must be separated correctly; NO BIN BAGS permitted in any recycling bins.

  • CCTV is in operation 

Child Safety

  • Children must be supervised at all times near facilities, the lake, the river, and the play area.
  • Playground equipment is regularly inspected and annually certified; use is at your own risk. The owners will not be held responsible or liable for any accidents, loss or damage.
  • No children are allowed in the playground after dark.

 Recreation, Ball Games & Lake Use

  • Soft ball games only, and please avoid playing close to other campers’ units.
  • Boats must be parked on the lake foreshore without obstructing launch access.
  • Cars must not be parked on the boat launching area.
  • Using Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake):

*The lake is owned and managed by Snowdonia National Park.

*Use of the lake is entirely at your own risk.

*Buoyancy aids/lifejackets must be worn at all times.

*All boat launching, canoeing, paddleboarding, and fishing requires a valid lake permit, available from the Pay & Display machine on the foreshore (card payment only).

  • No drones, generators, or Chinese lanterns.
  • Rope swings left by others are not the responsibility of the campsite.
  • No self-accelerating electric bikes or scooters allowed ONLY pedal assist e-bikes due to safety reasons.

 

Group Bookings

 

  • Groups of up to two families may be accepted with prior arrangement and full discussion.
  • Each family must book individually.
  • Pitches together cannot be guaranteed during busy times, subject to availability at check in.
  • Additional families joining a group of two will not be permitted.
  • Undisclosed groups will be asked to leave.
  • Organised groups :canoe clubs, sailing clubs, walking clubs, paddleboarding clubs, Scouts and Duke of Edinburgh must be by prior arrangement and will be at the campsites discretion. 
  • Persons under 19 must be supervised by an adult aged 25 or older.
  • We do not accept:

*Adult party groups

*Stag or hen parties

Awnings, Tents & Equipment

  • Eco-friendly ground sheets are required.
  • Awnings and tents on grass staying longer than 7 days will be asked to move to a nearby pitch to prevent permanent damage to the grass beneath the tent/ awning.
  • Caravan bookings on grass are limited to a maximum of 7 nights: longer stays require a hardstanding pitch
  • No gazebos or tents are permitted in the caravanning area.
  • Windbreakers must remain within your allocated pitch.
  • Tents requiring electricity must use proper cables with a circuit breaker.
  • Splitters and adaptors are not allowed.

 

 Noise, Behaviour & Conduct

  • Noise must be kept to a minimum at all times.
  • Quiet hours: 10:30pm to 8am.
  • Loud music is not permitted.
  • Large evening gatherings are not allowed.
  • Abusive or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and results in removal from the site without refund.
  • 24-hour CCTV recording is in operation in various locations across the site.

 

General Conditions

  • No trespassing on neighbouring farmland.
  • Postal or courier deliveries may not be sent to the campsite without permission.
  • Taxis collect and drop off by reception only.
  • FREE BASIC Wi-Fi is available; PREMIUM Wi-Fi can be purchased via Camping Connect.
  • The owners/staff reserve the right to refuse entry on arrival if there are concerns regarding welfare or potential disturbance to others, even though prior booking may have taken place.
  • The campsite accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, loss, damage, or incidents involving pets.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to campsite property.
  • The owners /staff reserve the right to ask person(s) to vacate their pitch if not adhering to the terms & conditions.
  • The owners/staff reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • The information taken at the time of booking is required to be collected for the purpose of processing your reservation with us. We may process your data to keep you informed of our activities and to keep you updated with news, offers and other information that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information for the marketing purposes described in this paragraph, please let us know. We might also disclose your data to CampStead Ltd who may contact you, inviting you to complete and review regarding your stay at our park.
